The Brazilian Mercantile & Futures Exchange, the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa), and the Brazilian Clearing and Depository Corporation (CBLC) promoted in London, its second international BEST Brazil event. Approximately 200 people representing banks, brokerage houses, hedge funds, investment funds, custodians, and dealers attended lectures on the Brazilian financial market, its efficiency, security, and reliability. The objective behind the event is to promote the Brazilian market to potential international investors.
The secretary of the Brazilian National Treasury, Mr. Joaquim Levy, and the directors of the Brazilian Central Bank and CVM (Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission), Mr. Rodrigo Telles da Rocha Azevedo and Mr. Sérgio Eduardo Wegelin Vieira, took part in the event to address questions and opportunities related to domestic market regulations, the Brazilian financial market’s organizational system, and Brazilian securities.
This is BEST Brazil’s second event; the first one took place last November in New York and Boston. The event will promote the Brazilian financial market on a regular basis, with annual meetings planned for the main financial hubs in the United States, Europe and Asia.
